21 year-old LYDIA PATRITTO, from Hurley, WI, performed at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Tennessee on February 24, 2010, as part of a writer’s round. She was selected by the NSAI group from Middle Tennessee State University where she currently is a Junior. Since then she has been invited to play at several other venues in the Nashville area, including the Douglass Café, Nashville Palace, Hotel Indigo, Incredible Daves, and more. This was one more stepping stone that she set out to achieve five years ago when she began her quest as a singer/songwriter.

From living room performances to the live stage at the legendary Bitter End of Greenwich Village in New York City, Lydia has always been driven by music.
At the age of 6 she begged for piano lessons, and from then on she has just added to her repertoire. Piano/keys, which is evident on her solo debut album, GRAND DREAMS, is her favorite, but she also plays saxophone, accordion, mandolin and guitar.
GRAND DREAMS, which was released on September 1, 2007, with a country/pop and alternative edge, shouts originality. Recording of GRAND DREAMS was completed on August 14, after the decision was made to add a bonus track. The cover song CRAZY, written by Willie Nelson and performed by many, was recorded with very talented Dave Morehouse on acoustic guitar and Lydia on keys/synthesizer. This multi-faceted recording was done by independent recording company, In the Chips Production, during the summer of ’07 and can be found on CD Baby and iTunes.
In the spring of ’07, Lydia’s mother sent the very first recorded song, HEARTBREAKS, to Larry Oakes of the Bitter End, to be submitted as an audition. She was later informed that Lydia had passed the audition phase and was invited to perform at the Singer/Songwriter Session at the Bitter End on July 15, 2007, the very same stage which has been graced by Billy Joel, Norah Jones, Neil Diamond and hundreds of other successful musicians. Lydia performed five of her originals and was invited to return to perform again. She has played there several more times and will be again soon.
Being inspired by her first Bitter End experience, she went to St. Paul to audition for the Minnesota State Fair performing THE PERFECT LOVE SONG after having written it two days prior. She won a spot in the semifinals and performed once again at the bandshell during the fair.
In October of 2007, Lydia teamed up with singer/songwriter/producer, Mark Huhta in Nashville, after, unbeknownst to her, a couple of people sent her CD to him for review. He called her, and she went to Nashville to record two songs, I JUST CAME FOR COFFEE and MORE at Jamie LaRitz’s Dog Ear studio. MORE had radio time in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Milwaukee Wisconsin and northern Wisconsin.
After her experience in Nashville she set her sites on being admitted to MTSU as a Recording Industry/Commercial Songwriter major where she is presently enrolled. After being there for only 2 months she was invited to play at JoZoara’s and Bonhoeffer’s, both in Murfreesboro, TN.
She has had the opportunity to write with Issac Rich and Phoenix Mendoza, the result of which is SOMETIMES FAITH and DON’T PASS GO, which are found on her websites. She has written dozens of songs and is being mentored by Bob McGilpin in Nashville. Being chosen to perform with professional songwriters and her peers at the Bluebird Cafe has only inspired her more.
